Superintendent's Message

In the Ceres Unified School District, we believe that education is a partnership between schools, families, and the broader community. Thank you for partnering with us to ensure that more than 13,000 Ceres students can learn in safe and supportive environments.

Our district aims to provide a well-rounded education that prepares students for lifelong success. We offer award-winning schools and graduation rates that are among the best in Stanislaus County, and well above the state average. Our goal is that Ceres students will graduate with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to be well-adjusted adults who can set their own course in an ever-evolving world.

Recognizing that each child is unique, with their own strengths and areas for growth, we are devoted to cultivating an inclusive atmosphere that promotes the well-being of every student. Across our 20 neighborhood campuses, site staff work to build a culture that makes school a place where students want to be. We also offer a variety of services and resources to support students and families:

  • Chromebook (or similar device) for every student

  • Social-emotional and mental health services

  • Free online tutoring

  • Free breakfast, lunch, and after-school care until 6 p.m.

Our motto in Ceres Unified is Committed to Excellence, Responsive to Every Student. We aspire to excellence in everything we do because we believe our students deserve the very best. It’s The Ceres Way! To learn more, please click the video link below.

Denise Wickham, Ed.D.
