Water Polo
Boys Varsity (from Tuesday): Golden Valley 19, Central Valley 13
Boys Varsity (from Wednesday): Central Valley 12, Lathrop 4
Girls Varsity (from Tuesday): Golden Valley 23, Central Valley 9
The Boys Water Polo program picked up their first ever win last night with a convincing 12-4 victory over the Lathrop Spartans! This is the first water polo win in school history!! CV has battled through the growing pains of starting up a new sport and their hard work is paying off. The Girls Water Polo program did not get an opportunity vs. Lathrop because they do not field a girls team. Our girls have been playing well of late and are also making great strides throughout the season. They have consistently put up solid offensive numbers, averaging around 7 goals per game. They most recently battled in Monday’s game vs. Johansen, but eventually fell by the score of 16-9. Lily Madrigal has been a standout performer for the Hawks as she leads the team in goals and is a force in the water. Good luck to the water polo program as they are back in action next Monday when they host the Ceres Bulldogs.
Flag Football

The Varsity Hawks faced off with the 1st place Lathrop Spartans last night and the Spartans pulled away with the 3-0 victory. The Hawks have been playing better as of late, but the Spartans continued their dominant play against WAC opponents (undefeated). The JV Hawks won a thriller as they battled back after a rough first set to pick up the 2-1 win! The volleyball program will be back in action on Monday when they travel to Ceres High to take on the Bulldogs.
