Two students in playground

At Lucas Dual Language Academy, we believe in the power of language and cultural immersion. Our unique dual language immersion program is designed to provide students with an exceptional educational experience that not only fosters academic excellence but also nurtures cultural understanding and global awareness. Lucas Elementary Dual Language Academy is an optional approach to the education of students in order to achieve high levels of learning biliteracy. Our program has been created so that our students can become biliterate students in the fluency, literacy, and proficiency of two languages – Spanish and English.  Lucas Elementary is a 50:50 model in which both languages are equally the primary language for instruction. This means all students are taught in English and in Spanish and are immersed all year in both languages.

We are excited to welcome your family and help you register your child(ren) for our Dual Language Kindergarten program in the 2024-2025 school year. The information below will guide you through the process. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at (209) 556-1720.

Who is eligible for Kindergarten?

To be eligible to register for kindergarten for the 2024-2025 school year, a child must reach five (5) years of age on or before September 1, 2024.

What do I need to do to get ready to register and enroll my child?

Please note that only a parent or legal guardian may register a child for school.

Parents/Guardians should review their child’s immunization records.  Make sure that you have an up to date copy of all of the immunizations your child has received.

We will be accepting kindergarten registrations for the 2024-2025 school year from February 1st through the 29th. We are a lottery school, not first-come first-serve. All applications completed and returned within February will be placed in the lottery.

How do I register my child?

To begin the registration process for students entering kindergarten, Parents/Guardians must pick-up and complete a Registration Packet. Registration packets can be picked-up through the month of February from our school office.

Once completed, the Registration Packet can be brought back to the office to be reviewed and notified if any further documentation is required. We will not be able to hold on to or accept incomplete Registration Packets.

For Ski Week (February 12-19), Parents/Guardians can pick-up and submit a completed registration packet to the Ceres Unified School District Office which is open Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
